New Obsession: Black and White Horse Photography

I recently became fascinated.. well.. more like obsessed.. with horse photography, particularly in black and white!

I don't know what brought upon this new found obsession of mine, but I find horses to be so mysterious and almost like they are magical creatures.. I never took the time to notice. Living in Hawaii, I don't get to see any wild horses so it's just fascinating to me!

I came across the website www.fineartamerica.com which had nearly 1,500 black and white horse photographs! ahhh!! I literally went through each page of photos, pinning the ones that captured me. Some of them I wasn't able to pin.. probably because of copyright issues.. but I got 25 favorites out of the 1,482 to be exact! I created a pinboard just for this purpose! I know.. Im also a pin addict =P

Still on the hunt for more so I can narrow down my favorites to the ones I want printed =)

Kitchen Gadgets: Mint Green Goodness

To add to our Mint Green obsession, I stumbled upon this Pistachio colored KitchenAid Mixer, that I instantly fell in love with. Although all KitchenAid Mixers are a bit pricey ($300-$900 price range), they are absolutely worth it! You can make anything from pasta, sausage, or even ice cream with this mixer! If you love cooking or baking, you probably have one of these in your kitchen already! But I thought I would share this on going obsession of mine with mint green.

Here are a few other minty green kitchen gadgets you could add into your home:

Interior Design Ideas: Mason Jar Light Fixtures

Hey All!
I just wanted to share with you this cool interior design idea that I thought looked pretty darn fantabulous! They are Mason Jar Light Fixtures!
They have a rustic, farmhouse appeal that I think can really change the feel of a room, with something so small and simple.
I researched different ways of making these… and they are time consuming and require a lot of tools. Plus, I am faaaar from being an electrician or anything of that nature, so I would never try to make one of these on my own. I would probably end up starting a fire =P But you can definitely try it! lol
If you wanted to try this for yourself, Walmart has a set of 12 (1 Quart) Mason Jars for only $17.98! You can even change the color of the jars using food coloring and white glue!
I figured I could start off small by just dropping a tea light inside the jar, instead of using actual light bulbs that require electricity. Then maybe I can work myself up to making a chandelier or something =P
Here are some inspiring ones that I found!
Enjoy!
This is what Ill probably start off with =D
