Summer Beauty: Ocean of Secrets

Hey Everyone!

We decided to play around with makeup a little bit! We wanted to create a fun Summer makeup look that was inspired by the blue ocean! 

We call this look 'Ocean of Secrets'!


**Note: You can use any variation of products to recreate this look, it does not have to be the exact same products we used.

How We Got the Look


Eyes

Step 1: Prime lids - MAC Paintpot 'Painterly'
Step 2: Highlight the brow bone and inner corners with a matte nude (LORAC 'Undercover')
Step 3: Fill in just above the crease with taupe brown (MAC 'Concrete')
Step 4: Fill in crease with a shimmery bronze (LORAC 'Uncensored')
Step 5: Contour outer corners with a shimmery deep brown (LORAC 'Untamed')
Step 6: Highlight the inner 1/3 and bottom lashline with a turquoise eyeshadow (MAC 'Aquadisiac')
Step 7: With a diagonal eyeliner brush and swipe the shimmery bronze color (LORAC 'Uncensored') across lower lashline (make sure the turquoise peeks out below it)
Step 8: Tightline upper and lower waterline with a black eyeliner pencil (Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner Pencil 'Perversion')
Step 9: Line upper lashline with black (MAC Fluidline 'Blacktrack')
Step 10: Fill in brows and mascara lashes


**Add false lashes for added drama

The Budget Babe: Lightweight Cardigans

A lightweight cardigan is a staple during the summer months!

Since summer is so hot and muggy, a heavy knitted cardigan can make you feel frumpy and sweaty, although very chic during the fall and winter months, not especially so when it comes to summer. You want a more lightweight cardigan that will still let the breeze flow through but still compliment your outfit.

These three different cardigans here are great for wearing to work or during the day for running all your daily errands!

This white cardigan is sheer and has short sleeves to keep you cool. The snug bottom hem and v-neck cut will let your top peek through. The mini pockets and buttons down the front make this cardigan all the more cute and special.

Outfit Idea: Pair this cardigan with a high waist pleated skirt and some mary janes for a professional workplace look or with some colorful skinny's and ballet flats for a cool day outfit.

This burgundy cardigan is also sheer with wide three quarter sleeves to give you some air. The kimono style of this cardigan has an open front and a cinching on the back for openness and added structure.

Outfit Idea: Wear this cardigan with shorts for a more daytime look or throw a belt around the middle for a more professional pulled together look.

This beige cropped cardigan has a romantic touch to it with the crocheted shoulders that continue through the back. With wide half sleeves and a waist tie, this cardigan was made especially for those hot summer months.

Outfit Idea: Pair this cardigan with some light washed shorts and flat sandals for a beachy look, or wrap the waist tie around to the back and wear it with a short pleated dress and espadrilles for a flirty daytime look.

The Budget Babe: Dress of the Moment

One of our newest arrivals 'Till The World Ends' dress is to die for! We love the retro feel of it with the black and white chevron print, long cuffed sleeves and tunic shape! 

Outfit Idea:
Wear this dress with a long chain necklace, black leggings and flats for a casual work outfit. At night, just throw on some black wedges or booties and replace your work bag with a colorful clutch!


Note: For those of you who are more petite, throw on a cute belt to cinch the waist!


Beauty Tip:
