All Time Favorites: 2011

Hey Everyone!!
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!!
Since the year 2011 is coming to a close, I thought I would share a few of my favorite things from this past year. I chose 11 of my top favorites, all in different categories! This is all just a random compilation of things I have enjoyed, and will still enjoy during the last few days of 2011!
Here goes... (in no particular order)
1) Favorite Moment: Saying 'I Do'

By far.. the best day!

2) Favorite Book(s): James Patterson 'Alex Cross' Series

I'm currently on the 12th book of this series... I think there are 18 books.. but I am not stopping until I finish reading them ALL!

3) Favorite Beauty Product: Nars Powder Blush 'Lovejoy'

This is the perfect Rosy blush I've tried so far.. it has the perfect amount of shimmer, a bronzy undertone, and looks fabulous on any skin tone!

4) Favorite Fashion Trend: Sparkles

Sparkles, Glitter and Sequins. Love Love Love!

5) Favorite Food: Red Velvet Cupcakes

YUM! One of my closest friends Kelli makes the best Red Velvet in the whole wide world! Red Velvet Cupcakes were also used on my wedding day instead of the traditional wedding cake =)

6) Favorite Drink: Dr. Pepper

Believe it or not, I have never tried Dr. Pepper before this year, and I must say... it is awesome! I think I drank Dr. Pepper everyday with my lunch for like a straight 4-5 months =p and Yes, I probably have an addictive personality..

7) Favorite Candy: Fruity Mentos

Amazingly, I haven't gotten sick off of eating too many of these in an hour time span.. *knock on wood*

I've been using this thing every single stinking day since I got it! My favorite hobby is reading, so I've named the Nook my new best friend!

Loooove Adele... still can't stop listening to her soulful voice!

10) Favorite Addiction: Pinterest.com

When I first discovered Pinterest at the middle of this year, I lost soooo much sleep staying up all night looking at all the cool photos that people would pin =p I admit, it made me feel like I was being creative.. when really, I just wish I was that creative lol

11) Favorite TV Show: The Rachel Zoe Project/Jersey Shore

Ok, I could not pick just ONE! It was a toss up for this category =)

What's Your Favorite Coffee Drink?

Im not much of a coffee drinker, but for some reason, during the holiday season, I always seem to crave coffee! I don't know whether it's the lack of energy from the busy Christmas season, or it's because of all the cute red Starbuck's Christmas cups I see everyone carrying around =P But anyways, I always look forward to the Starbuck's Gingerbread Lattes that are only available during the holiday seasons! Once in a while, Ill treat myself to one =)

Shoeaholics Anonymous: Chunky Flat Platform Heels

I have been seeing these chunky flat platform heels everywhere, and on every fashion and style website, tv show, runway show, blog, etc. etc. that I've encountered for the past few months! At first I was like.. 'ehh.. they wouldn't match me..' but they are starting to really grow on me and now I'm really loving this style. I don't usually wear heels too often, but when I do, I looove wearing Steve Madden, because they are comfortable and stylish, and most of the time, they're pretty affordable. So, here are some I found from Zappos.com, and I believe all of these are on sale! I also included some of the latest photos from one of my most favorite fashion inspiration websites lookbook.nu!
Happy 1st of the Christmas Month!

Sephora V.I.B. 20% Off Event: Review Too Faced Beautiful Dreamer Collection

Did all of you beauty junkies (me included) get your beauty product fix from Sephora's V.I.B. event?! As some of you may know, I have a serious weak spot for makeup and beauty products, so I wanted to take advantage of the 20% off! I actually went there with one product in mind that I really wanted, which was the LORAC Bejeweled Day and Night Jewelry Box, but sadly, it was sold out =( But, I did stumbled through the aisles and found myself staring at this Too Faced set, which was soooo cute and pretty, I just could not pass it up! So, today I just decided to do a more personal makeup blog post, a little review on this set and my thoughts about it. Hope you like!
Happy Hump Day!

Too Faced
'Beautiful Dreamer Makeup Collection' $46
Products it Contains:
Sun Bunny Bronzing Powder and Who's Your Poppy Blush Duo
Eyeshadow Collection: Teddy Bear, Blonde Ambition, Totally Toasted and Satin Sheets
Shadow Insurance in 'Candlelight'
Lip Gloss in 'Pink Swan'
Lashgasm Mascara in 'Black'
Pink Swan Hot Air Balloon Zip Up Cosmetic Case

Review
Sun Bunny Bronzing Powder and Who's Your Poppy Blush Duo: This product is very very similar to the Nar's Orgasm/Laguna Blush and Bronzing Duo, which is actually one of my all time favorite products. The only real difference is that the Too Faced duo isn't as sparkly and shimmery. The bronzer works great on the cheeks as well as the edges of the face, giving you a slight glow, which is just barely noticeable. It really does a great job warming up the face. The blush is a sparkly peachy pink, which is well pigmented. You only need a few swipes on the apples of your cheeks and you've got a baby doll cheeks! It does have some golden shimmer in it which actually looks amazing in natural lighting. The compact it comes in also has a mirror, and the design on it is really cute!

Eyeshadow Collection: Teddy Bear, Blonde Ambition, Totally Toasted and Satin Sheets: 'Teddy Bear 'is a matte taupe brown color, which I feel is a universal color that everyone could use, whether your contouring your eye, nose, or even to fill in your brows. 'Blonde Ambition 'is a very shimmery gold which is very pigmented, so a little goes a long way, unless you want to look like a disco ball! Great for the lid, inner corner, lower lashline, or even on your temples as a highlight! 'Totally Toasted' is a bronzy brown, which is also very shimmery, but works great on the lid to create a smoky brown. You could also use this in your crease as well for added definition. Lastly'Satin Sheets' is a light pink with gold shimmer, which I found works best on the brow bone as a highlight, or you could use this as your inner corner. All the colors are very pretty and shimmery, accept for Teddy Bear, and they have a great color payoff, which is a big plus!

Shadow Insurance in 'Candlelight': Ever since falling in love with the regular Shadow Insurance, I knew I wouldn't be disappointed with 'Candelight'. It has the same consistency and texture as the regular shadow insurance, accept that it leaves a shimmery gold color behind, which works perfectly if you want that sparkly effect on your lids. It holds the eyeshadow very well and keeps it in place throughout the day. This was a sample sized product, which I believe is the only sample that came with the set, the other products are full sized.

Lip Gloss in 'Pink Swan': When I saw this product, I thought, oh no... its wayyyy too shimmery! But, it actually didn't look that bad when worn by itself. I would still recommend using this product over a lipstick though because the pale pink tint isn't really that noticeable. Only thing bad I can say, is that it's very very sticky! I had lipgloss in my hair and all over my face when I wore it, but good thing it smells amazing! It actually smells like Bubble Gum, and it even tastes like it too =P

Lashgasm Mascara in 'Black': This mascara is actually really good, which surprised me some. The wand is skinny and I believe it's made out of silicone, it's not a bristle wand. The silicone bristles help to really define and separate the lashes, which is perfect for this type of formula, which could easily clump, but the wand did its job by separating lashes. It also helped to lengthen and it was easily buildable to add some volume.

Pink Swan Hot Air Balloon Zip Up Cosmetic Case: My favorite thing about the whole entire set is this makeup case! Its soooo adorable! I love it! Its a zip up cosmetic case which is about 5 inches in length, 4.5 inches height, and about 2 inches width, so it can hold a whole handful of products. It doesnt have any pockets on the inside, but the case is just so pretty, who cares! =)

Turkey Day: Simple and Natural Centerpiece Ideas

We found these centerpiece ideas from Better Homes and Gardens that bring simplicity to the hectic holiday season. You can easily make these centerpieces yourself without all the hustle and bustle. These centerpieces use natural foliage as well as items that you probably already have lying around the house! With one less thing to stress out about, you can focus more on relaxing with family, friends, and food! Check out our favorites!

Golden Wheat

Fill the glass vase with dried white beans and stick a bunch of wheat inside! Tada!

Pear Perfect

All you need is a glass vase or a glass hurricane, and some pears! Guests can munch on them too as a snack or tie pretty tags to each pear so guests can take them home as favors!

Branch Out

Take a planter or a pot and fill the bottom half with rocks, marbles, stones, anything to weigh the pot down. Fill the remaining half of the pot with dry florist foam and stick a maple branch in the middle. Cover the pot with a jute bag and you've got a beautiful centerpiece!

Leaves and Berries

Just take a bunch of Autumn leaves and berries, and place them in a glass cup for an elegant display, or a tin cup for a more rustic country vibe!
