The Budget Babe: Asymmetrical Summer Dresses Under $50

Asymmetrical dresses are great for Summer! Not only are they stylish, but they are also very airy and flowy! They also come in fun prints and colors! They are easy to accessorize just by adding a simple belt, necklace, or stacking your bracelets, which can make all the difference! No matter what size or shape you are, asymmetrical dresses can be very flattering, but look best when the front hem lies above the knees.

We suggest wearing these with either some espadrilles/wedges, or flat sandals for the best relaxed summer look!

Here are some of our favorite asymmetrical dresses that we thought would be perfect for Summer! All under $50!!

Stay tuned to see how we styled them in our new Summer Lookbook coming soon!

Book Worm: The Help by Kathryn Stockett

One of the best and most talked about books to have come out in 2011, 'The Help' by Kathryn Stockett is a must read for everyone and anyone.

It talks about life in Mississippi during the 1960's through the perspective of three different ladies, Aibileen, Minny and Miss Skeeter. Struggling with battles and secrets of their own, these three ladies come together in the novel to create a piece of history within their small town, and possibly throughout the entire country. It is written in the perfect southern drawl and accent to clearly depict the South. This novel is funny, emotional, inspiring, and deeply moving. Although this is a fictional story, and surprisingly Stockett's first novel to write, the characters, plot and story line are all detailed to perfection.

A great summer read to pass the heat!

If you have read this book, share your thoughts with us in the comments! We would love to hear other thoughts and perspectives! Any suggestions for some good reads?

Shoeaholics Anonymous: Summer Flats from Sole Society

Sole Society is one of the best places to find that perfect shoe! I constantly check out their website for inspiration and to see what else they came out with. Every pair of shoes is only $49.95, but they have such unique choices and colors to choose from, you are bound to find a pair you love each month! You can also create your own closet of favorites or shoes that you want to keep an eye on. But be aware, some of their styles do sell out quickly!

Here are some of my favorite summer picks from their current shoe selection!

Woven fabric ballet flats

Looooove the stripes and the woven details. The colors add such flare! So comfortable and perfect for summer!

Ballet Flat

Similar to Cheyenne with the woven details, but these have eyelets that run along the sides and front to give your feet some air! Love the mustard color!

Animal Print Ballet

These flats are so sassy! With the turquoise animal print and metallic background, these shoes are so fun!

Ankle Strap Wedge

Braids and embellishments adorn these cute flat wedges! Love the details and the color!

Weave Espadrille Sandal

Flat espadrilles feel like regular sandals but they are so comfortable and unique! Plus, the coral color is perfect for summer!

Braided Ankle Wrap Flat

The brown and navy create a great combination of color. The chain ornaments on the front strap give it some shine, plus the ankle wrap is so cute and hippy chic!

Bow Tie Moccasin

How cute are these moccasins!! Instead of your usual tassel in the front, it comes with a striped bow! So comfy and sophisticated!

Sandra 2.0
Mini Wedge Sandal

This is probably my favorite out of the bunch! They are the perfect mint green color, which I looove, and they have metallic edges to add some shininess!

Ever shop at Sole Society? What's some of your favorite summer shoes!
